The U.S. Army developed a simulator to show troops how to escape from an overturned vehicle. This has saved hundreds of lives. A major cause of casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan has been vehicle accidents. These happen because of lots of cross country, night and high-speed driving. The locals are not known for safe driving practices either.

WASHINGTON — A joint military facility that includes Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base would receive $179.1 million for 10 construction projects under a defense budget approved Friday, a legislator said.
"This smashes the records for projects in a single year (at the bases)," said U.S. Rep. Jim Saxton, R-N.J.
The fiscal year 2009 measure still must be approved by the Senate and signed by President Bush.
